Privacy-first beta

BagStrict is designed so travelers can share a baggage-check experience without creating a profile or revealing who they are.

What the current beta stores

Information in a report

A report can contain an airport, airline, bag type, check outcome, fee, flight number, destination and a short optional note. Do not put names, contact details, booking references or seat numbers in the note.

Hosting logs

Like virtually all public websites, the hosting provider may create short-lived technical access logs for security and reliability. These can include an IP address, browser information, the requested page and time of access. They are separate from BagStrict reports.

When community sharing is enabled

Before reports are shared between travelers, this notice will be updated. The report database will not contain names, accounts, contact details or IP addresses. Free text will be filtered and reports will receive random identifiers that are not linked to a person.

Delete local reports

You can erase every report saved by BagStrict in this browser.
