How strict is Ryanair with cabin bags?
Ryanair may ask you to place your bag in its sizer at the gate. The safest approach is to meet the published dimensions, including wheels, handles and side pockets.

What “strict” means in practice
Published limits apply at every airport, but the number of bags checked can vary by flight and gate. A soft bag can still be rejected if it cannot slide fully into the sizer without force. BagStrict separates the official rule above from recent traveler reports, so anecdotes never replace the policy.
