Cabin baggage questions
Answers about baggage sizers, gate charges, traveler reports and how BagStrict uses community data.
What happens if my bag does not fit in the baggage sizer?
The airline may charge an airport or gate fee, put the bag in the hold, or refuse it. The outcome depends on the airline, your allowance and available space. Check the official guide and fee conditions before travelling.
Does paying for priority allow any cabin bag?
No. Priority or a cabin-bag add-on still has size and weight limits. Check the dimensions of the additional bag in your booking.
Does a low reported check rate mean my oversized bag is safe?
No. Reports come from self-selected travelers and cannot predict what will happen on your flight. The airline can enforce its published allowance at any gate.
Are BagStrict reports verified?
Reports are moderated for publication. Moderation is not independent verification of the flight or the charge. Suspicious published reports can be flagged for review.
Why are some statistics missing?
A rate requires at least five reports in its relevant sample. A payment rate needs five checked-bag reports. A median needs five paid reports in one currency; different currencies are never pooled. Individual moderated experiences can still be read.
Can I submit an experience without being checked?
Yes. Experiences with no baggage check matter too. Select that answer and the payment questions are skipped. No name, account or email is required.
How do I request removal of my report?
Keep the report ID shown after submission and email hello@bagstrict.com with that ID. Avoid sending booking references or identity documents.
